While it may be super easy for some of us to figure out how to get our first planner into GoodNotes, not all of us are so tech-savvy, especially if we are brand new to digital planning. If you are an Android user, I have created a tutorial for importing a planner into Xodo, but this tutorial is Apple/iOS specific.
Goodnotes planners will come in either a PDF file or a .goodnotes file. When you first open Goodnotes, Your screen will look similar to this, but empty, with just the plus sign.

Clicking the plus sign will open up a sub-menu, that will give you different options for files. As you can see, you can also make a notebook from scratch or a folder, as well as importing an image, but to import a purchased planner, you will need to click "Import".

Clicking "Import" will allow you to browse the files on your device. From there, click on your planner file to import it into Goodnotes.

Once your planner is imported, when you open up Goodnotes, it will show up on that first screen that I shared at the beginning of this tutorial. All of your documents will show up there for easy access.
I hope this tutorial has helped you understand how to import your planner to Goodnotes. If you have any questions, you can check out other Goodnotes tutorials here, or leave a comment below!
