Hello Everybody! Today, I will be showing you how to download free fonts and import them into Xodo on an android device. Many people struggle with this, but once you know how to do this, it's a great way to beautify your digital planner or notebook. To start, we will go to DaFont.com to download our free font. You don't have to go to DaFont, if you already have a downloaded font you want to import, skip this part.
Step 1: Download a Free Font
DaFont offers thousands of free fonts in many different styles. Go ahead and search for a font that you like. I prefer a simpler font for keeping track of the daily schedule and to-dos, and a fancier fonts for my titles and headlines. I will be downloading the font "Sunset City" for this tutorial.
I like to have a folder on my computer for my downloaded fonts. When you download a font, it usually comes in a .zip file, and I prefer to keep those here in my "Fonts" folder. I do this because sometimes technology fails, and if I ever lose my Xodo fonts, I don't want to have to search the internet for my fonts again.
Step 2: Copy Free Font into Xodo Folder
Once you have downloaded your .zip file, you want to open it. You may need to download an app to unzip the files ( I prefer WinZip). You will want to copy the file for an actual font. This will usually have an .otf or .ttf extension.
Once you have the .otf or .ttf file copied, go ahead and paste it into the "Xodo" folder that downloaded with the app. This will usually be found inside a "Downloads" or "Play Files" folder.
Step 3: Access Font in Xodo
Now that your font is in your Xodo Folder, you can access it in Xodo. To do this, you will first need so go to settings. Settings can be located by clicking the three lines in the top left-hand corner of xodo. It will be listed third from the bottom.
Under settings you will find a subheading called "Annotating", and under that, near the bottom, will be "Text Annotation Fonts". Once you click this you will see a list of all possible fonts in alphabetical order. After you find your new font, you will need to check the box next to it.
NOTE: If the new font does not show up in the Text Annotation Fonts list, you may need to restart your device. If this does not work, make sure that you saved it in the correct folder.
After you have checked the box next to the font you wish to use, select "OK". You are now all set to use your new font! You can also use these settings to remove the default fonts from the drop-down menu that shows up when editing text.
We hope this helps you understand how to import fonts into Xodo. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to us for help. Make sure to let us know in the comments what your favorite font is!
Happy Planning!
Hi! Sorry for my English.
I tried step by step, but the fonts don't show them in my Samsung tab s6 lite. I tried a few times, but the fonts aren't there. I don't know how to do. The fonts don't show in Text Annotation Fonts. ¿Do you have some idea to fix it? Thank you
